A public meeting for the NK Trail Feasibility Study is scheduled for this Thu. May 28, 6-8 PM at the Fire Station on 26642 Miller Bay Road in Kingston.
NKTA leaders have been working with County Public Works staff and a consultant team of landscape architects, engineers and wetland biologists to determine the best route for the Sound to Olympics (STO) Trail between Miller Bay Road (across from the North Kitsap Heritage Park) and Port Gamble-Suquamish Road. This critical link will serve a host of different types of different types of trials users by connecting Kingston to Port Gamble and ultimately Poulsbo and Bainbridge Island. The route has been researched to provide the best trail experience, environmental sensitivity and construction cost. It's been a fantastic team effort. Come see and comment on the ideas we've come up with.
